Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information NavlePro collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. NavlePro is operated by [legal entity name & registered address — to be set]. It applies to the NavlePro website and study platform (the “Service”).
1. What we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name and email address from your sign-in provider (e.g. Google), and, if you use passcode sign-in, the email or phone number you sign in with.
- Profile & onboarding details — information you choose to share to personalise your prep, such as your target exam, background, and study goals.
- Communications — messages you send us for support or feedback.
Information created as you use the Service
- Study progress & performance — lessons viewed, questions attempted, answers, scores, streaks, and readiness signals, so we can track progress and improve the product.
- Device & usage data — basic technical information such as browser type, approximate location derived from IP, and pages visited, collected to keep the Service secure and working.
2. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- provide, maintain, and secure your account and the Service;
- save and display your study progress and personalise your prep;
- respond to your requests and provide support;
- understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
- send essential service messages (we are not currently a marketing-heavy product; any optional updates would be opt-in); and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your clinical study data to train third-party advertising profiles.
3. Legal basis for processing
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to run your account and the Service); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); your consent (for non-essential cookies and any optional communications); and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Where data is stored
Account and study data are stored using Supabase (a managed PostgreSQL platform) and associated storage, which we use as our database and authentication provider. Depending on our configuration, data may be processed on servers in [hosting region(s) — to be confirmed once the Supabase project region is finalised]. Because NavlePro serves users internationally, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own; where required we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it. These currently include:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
- Google — sign-in (OAuth) when you choose Google to log in.
- Hosting / CDN provider (Vercel) — to serve the website.
- [Analytics provider — to be confirmed; e.g. a privacy-friendly analytics tool]
- [Email/SMS delivery provider for passcodes — to be confirmed]
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We will update this list as our providers are confirmed.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand basic usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to control them.
7. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update much of your profile in-app, and you can request account deletion at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is intended for adults preparing for professional veterinary examinations and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at [privacy contact email — e.g. privacy@navlepro.com — to be confirmed].
